The dilly-dally of opposition coalition (Ukawa) to nominate its presidential flag-bearer for General election on October has to be defined as failure to beat the ruling party CCM.
On Tuesday Ukawa conducted a secret meeting having a talk on who will be carrying their flag and unseat CCM on power which holds the seat since independence.

On Tuesday Ukawa conducted a meeting in Dar es Salaam whereby the Civic United Front (CUF) officials did not attend the meeting because they held party’s meeting to satisfy their follower who asked them to seek blessing from top decision making organ before their engagement in talk on the Ukawa nomination of a presidential candidate.
What does it mean politically? It seems like CUF will stay away from Ukawa as there is any circumstance showing political unrest within the coalition.

It has been reported that CUF has scheduled their party’s top decision making organ on July25, 2015 which will come up with resolutions that provide the direction and fate whether to stay or get away from Ukawa.
There are 45days remain for election campaign to start but opposition left their followers in state of uncertainty while ruling party continue to publicize their presidential candidate.

According to the CUF deputy secretary general(mainland) said that their party is still on Ukawa and told the journalist that CUF officials did not attend the Tuesday Ukawa meeting because they were busy with their meeting and already they had sent an apology for their absent.

One of the challenges facing Ukawa is how to share the announced 26 constituencies and the benefit will every shareholder get from the coalition. It has no doubt that every individual want to become a president once get a chance, then what will happen to Ukawa? Let us wait.

CUF conducted a separate meeting the same day Ukawa did ,this means there is no common agreement within the coalition and Ukawa may experience disintegration even before general election
